The American Journal of Anatomy
The present investigation was undertaken to study the relationship between acetylcholine receptor (AchR) clustering and endplate formation within regenerating skeletal muscle grafts. Silver staining of nerves was combined with rhodamine-alpha-bungarotoxin labeling of AchR clusters in heterotopic grafts of the rat soleus muscle. Two major graft procedures were used: whole muscle grafts and graft...

The epithelial tissue forming the posterior aspect of the apical foramen in the upper incisor of the rat was reconstructed from 1 μm thick serial cross sections. Like the lower incisor, this portion of the odontogenic organ in the upper incisor was composed of a bulbous and a "U"-shaped part. However, the bulbous part was considerably blunter and the "U"-shaped part much larger in circumference...

(Stem anatomy in the spiny american palm Bactris (Arecaceae-Bactridinae)). Bactris trunks are made entirely by long sustained primary growth so that mechanical properties develop progressively as the trunk matures. Anatomical features vary throughout the stem so that one small sample is a limited representation. This limits the use for stem histology with systematic purposes. We examined stem a...
متن کاملSEQUENTIALLY COMPACT S-ACTS
The investigation of equational compactness was initiated by Banaschewski and Nelson. They proved that pure injectivity is equivalent to equational compactness. Here we define the so called sequentially compact acts over semigroups and study some of their categorical and homological properties. Some Baer conditions for injectivity of S-acts are also presented.
متن کاملOn $GPW$-Flat Acts
In this article, we present $GPW$-flatness property of acts over monoids, which is a generalization of principal weak flatness. We say that a right $S$-act $A_{S}$ is $GPW$-flat if for every $s in S$, there exists a natural number $n = n_ {(s, A_{S})} in mathbb{N}$ such that the functor $A_{S} otimes {}_{S}- $ preserves the embedding of the principal left ideal ${}_{S}(Ss^n)$ into ${}_{S}S$. We...
